UN plan to partition Palestine. On November 29, 1947, the General Assembly of the United Nations meeting in New York, adopted Resolution 181, which recommended a plan to resolve the conflict between Jews and Arabs in the region of Palestine, who was at that time under British administration. That plan called for dividing the western part of the Mandate into two states, one Jewish and one Arab, with an area that included Jerusalem and Bethlehem under international control.

The 33 countries (58%) who voted in favor of Resolution 181 were: Australia, Belgium, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, United States, France, Germany, Guatemala,
Haiti, Holland, Iceland, Liberia, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Sweden, South Africa, USSR, Ukraine, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The 13 countries (23%) who voted against were:
Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Cuba, Egypt, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Syria, Turkey and Yemen.
With the abstention of 10 countries (18%):
Argentina, Colombia, Chile, China, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Honduras, Mexico, United Kingdom and Yugoslavia. Thailand was absent in the plenary.

In 1967 he broke another of the many wars between Arabs and Israelis, which led to significant territorial gains for Israel at the expense of Egypt lost the entire Sinai Peninsula, Syria to turn the strategic Golan Heights, Lebanon, on Israel set up a border where additional safety belt, and Jordan, which lost its grip on the sector in Jerusalem, in addition to losing all of the West Bank territories on the east bank of Jordan.
Israel expanded its territory to 78% (although the original plan had already awarded 55%). Of Arab Palestine there were only the territories of Gaza under Egyptian administration, and the West Bank, which was annexed by Jordan. From then to date Israel has kept the Palestinian people under siege and under fire.

Today the General Assembly of the UN comprises 194 members and as the Lord makes known the president of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), Abu Mazen, to date have backed over 150 countries (77.3%) already have recognized them, hoping to get before September, when the next General Assembly, the confirmation of other members.
In the edition of July 14, 2011 in Elpais.com, we read: "The Arab League plans to call on behalf of the Palestinians to recognize the 'State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital," and that he declare a full member United Nations, according to a draft statement of Arab monitoring committee, which meets in Qatar. "The Arab League was founded in March 1945 by seven Arab countries, today it also integrates 22 countries are part of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, along with other countries.

With the 22 votes of the Arab League would have a total of 172 countries to support
Palestine, ie, 88.6% of the total, which exceeds the absolute majority, without counting the votes that join between now and the date that is performed General Assembly. According to the fundamental principle of democracy, one vote makes a difference, or has already been widely ratified the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to join as full member of the General Assembly, must appoint its representative.

As might be expected, the Israeli government has anticipated that its rejection of momentous decision, telling how it has been traditional, with U.S. backing, unless today, as has happened in other cases, sanity prevails and respect international law.
The UN must finally ensure compliance with the resolutions adopted on the basis of international law, and if necessary, implement the proposals of the Palestinian National Movement Committee BDS (BNC).
"To impose a military seizure on Israel general to end the illegal and criminal use of force against the Palestinian people and other peoples and states of the region as an effective non-violent pressure on Israel to fulfill its obligations under the law International:

1. End the occupation and colonization of all Arab territories occupied in 1967 and dismantle the West Bank Wall,
2. Recognize the fundamental right of Arab citizens and Palestinians from
Israel to full equality and
3. Respect, protect and promote the right of return of Palestinian refugees to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN Resolution 194. "

TIME TO GIVE EFFECT TO THE PRINCIPLE OF NO COUNTRY SHOULD BE ABOVE THE LAW!.
